		<description>On the basis that you can&#039;t have a conversation about identifiers these days without thinking about URIs in general and http URI specifically, I think you need to at least consider the your use of http URIs here.

You could ask projects to &#039;suggest&#039; a tag at proposal stage (I say suggest because projects have no way of knowing whether their suggested tag will be unique within the chosen funding call).  You would then have to de-duplicate any duplicate suggested tags in some way - presumably after you&#039;ve agreed what is going to be funded.

At that point the &#039;tag&#039; can be turned into a URI using the following structure:

http://www.jisc.ac.uk/project//

or some such?

Note: in line with Linked Data this would be the URI for the project... not for a web page about the project, so your website would have to be configured to issue a 303 redirect to an &#039;information resource&#039; about the project.</description>
